If Obama is going to compromise with Republicans, rewarding them for having acted like toddlers with tantrums throughout his whole presidency, in the same spirit, should he make Kansas a Taliban state to mollify more unreasonable people?
It should be pointed out that not all rich people are bad. But, hey, it's a catchy title. And many of the people who have made a lot of money are squandering valuable resources, exploiting large numbers of hard-working folks, and enriching themselves through questionable practices.
What we all have to do as consumers is start making choices about who we are going to give our money to. Big corporate interests have for years (and especially during the corruptocracy of the Bush Administration) been feeding their money into the halls of leadership to make choices that choke off the poor and middle class.
Why are we contributing to these big corporate interests with our consumer choices, when they clearly don't give a hoot about us, and don't really care about much beyond enriching their treasuries? So this blog is going to talk about leftist politics as it intertwines with consumerism, health care, insurance, and other stuff that we all need to keep in mind in creating a better world.
Stop giving your money to and voting for people who don't have your best interests in mind.
We are going to include a lot of links to outside sources which are topical and are active links at the time we include them. If you read a post long after it was posted, some link contained therein may no longer be active. Sorry, but we're not going to go back and correct dead links. Just live with it, and know that at one time, the link included pertinent information.
